First time patients

Our record speaks for itself. We have achieved the highest success rates per cycle started since our inception in 1995

‘ARGC was the best choice as Harrison was born after our first cycle, we also have 4 frozen embryos which we can use to increase our family’

Due to our success, we have achieved a reputation for treating difficult and complex cases. Currently, over 80% of our patients have previously had unsuccessful treatment at other clinics.

Our success rate in treating patients who have their first IVF cycle at the ARGC is exceptionally high. In 2018, our clinical pregnancy rate for a woman under 35 years who started their IVF journey at the ARGC and had a blastocyst transfer was in excess of 90%.

WHAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE?

We believe it is vital to monitor women carefully and regularly, to make sure they get the best treatment at the right time. We work 365 days a year, so if required, monitoring and procedures can be undertaken on weekends and public holidays, in order to maximise the chance of a successful pregnancy.

Monitoring in the form of blood tests and ultrasound scans is undertaken to determine follicular growth, endometrial development and hormone levels. During the ovarian stimulation phase of the treatment, which usually lasts between 10-14 days, our patients are required to attend the centre for blood tests and scans on a daily and sometimes twice daily basis. Medications may be altered, dosages changed, or new medications added.

This intensity of monitoring may seem inconvenient in the short term, but it is extremely important to determine follicles are the right size for eggs to be collected. We believe this regular and frequent monitoring is vital and can make the difference between success and failure.

All of our staff have many years of clinical IVF experience. Our embryology team are hugely experienced and highly regarded in their field. We are very fortunate to have an exceptionally dedicated and experienced nursing team. We have a friendly and knowledgeable team of administrators who are on hand to make the journey through IVF as seamless as possible.

Our Medical Director, Mr Mohamed Taranissi, oversees every patient’s treatment personally and reviews each patient’s files every day. Although he can no longer see every patient, he has hand picked all his clinical staff who excel in their chosen specialism. Please note, however, that all treatment regimens and instructions are issued by him personally.

We maintain strict quality assurance and quality controls, throughout the centre. These are particularly rigorous in the theatre and laboratories. All of our state-of-the-art equipment is proactively maintained and subject to regular inspection.

We have pioneered a number of techniques in the UK, which have since become accepted practice in many clinics. We are constantly pursuing techniques and developments to improve the chances of achieving a viable pregnancy so that we remain the UK’s most successful IVF clinic.

We were one of the first clinics in the UK to investigate the recurrent implantation failure of embryos and the immunology of implantation. This enables us to identify and offer treatment to women suspected of suffering from this type of infertility. We are also experienced in treating women with recurrent pregnancy loss.
