Causes of infertility

It is estimated that 15% of couples of reproductive age suffer from infertility.  It can be due to male factors, female factors or a combination of both.

In general, infertility is defined as not being able to get pregnant after one year (or more) of unprotected sex. However women over 35 years may consider seeking fertility advice after six months of unprotected sex due to fact that women’s fertility declines steadily over this age.
