I can confidently say I would not have my beautiful twins if it had not been for the ARGC. We started our journey when I was 29 and my partner was 31. After 2 failed fresh cycles at the ARGC (where we had little to no fertilization even with ICSI), Ahmed, one of the embryologists suggested that we needed to try Artificial Oocyte Activation. This is a procedure most other clinics in the UK have either never done or refused to try as it is a relatively new technique in the UK. Thankfully Ahmed organized this for our 3rd cycle; it was the first time the ARGC had used this technique and it worked! We transferred 2 embryos, who are now my 3 year old twins!
We were a particularly complicated case, and the ARGC never gave up on us. When other fertility doctors were telling us it would never work, the ARGC continued to look for solutions. They truly tailor each treatment to the individuals, which reflects in their success rates. The doctors, nurses and all the support staff (especially Rebecca who dealt with my meltdowns!) were amazing and so supportive, even through an eventful pregnancy! We are now trying for a sibling and hoping for another ARGC miracle!
